There are many websites that we use in school that the children really enjoy. It would be great if the children could play these at home as well! I have listed below some of the best websites for maths and phonics learning. These websites all have free sections that we use and so should not require a login (except mathletics – all childrenshould have a sign in for this).
http://uk.mathletics.com/ (this one needs the child’s login – once they are on they can use this independently. I assign new activities, and review the completed ones)
https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button (we play this in class regularly. This one is very good for quick fire maths fact learning. We have been doing doubling, halving, number bonds to make 10 and within 10)
learn.readwithfonics.com (there are a few games on here that are very useful for practicing segmenting and blending for the upcoming phonics screening test – especially the “alien phonics words”)
https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/PicnicOnPluto (the children all love this game – we play it at least twice a week during our phonics lessons)
