Lawley’s Week!

A grey, wet week has meant we’ve tried to be as active inside as possible! In Maths we have been developing our skills of recognising tens and ones, using the base ten equipment and place value charts to demonstrate this.  In English we have used our senses to describe a pirate picture, using our imagination, the children have worked extremely well and come up with some fantastic adjectives, including the rusty old wooden ship.  In Science we used dinosaurs and other toy animals to label body parts, the children loved this! In RE we discussed ways to thank and praise God for creating the world.  On Friday the children enjoyed our Macmillan cake sale, everyone looked at all the lovely cakes before choosing the one they wanted to buy.  Thank you for your contributions. Please make sure your child continues to read at home and practise their spellings, raffle tickets and prizes are being handed out.

A reminder that it is parents evening on Wednesday.  I do still have appointments left so please let me know and we can arrange a convienient time.

Also, permission slips are required for our trip to the library.  These were handed out last week and should be returned by Monday 30th September ready for our trip on Minday 7th October.
