On Thursday the 3rd October Ercall class went to Park Hall Farm. We went there to learn how to weave like a person from the Stone Age and visit the Iron Age Round House.
We loved the weaving and made a bracelet or a book mark. In the Round House we learnt that they used weaving to help build the house and fences. We also found it interesting that they used Oak to build their houses because it is the strongest wood. We also found out that they farmed to live. They used a cauldron to cook in over the fire. People from the Stone Age used animal poo to build their houses (gross!)
We also had a go at milking a cow (and being sprayed with the milk!), feeding the goats and sheep, riding on a tractor and a fantastic pig race to finish off the day.
We had a great trip!
“My favourite bit was feeding the goats,” Anastazja.
“My favourite part of the trip was petting the rabbits,” Archie.
