We have had a very busy ‘Christmassy’ time in Nursery!
We had a very special delivery at the beginning of December……our Nursery Christmas Elf. He arrived in a Christmas box with a letter asking the children to decide what to call him. The children each voted for the name they wanted the elf to be called. The name with the most votes was……’Twinkle’. The children enjoyed looking for Twinkle every day
The children decorated the Christmas tree using tinsel, baubles and some decorations they made themselves
We made lots of Christmas decorations, including stars, paper chains and party hats. We recycled pine cones into Christmas trees which we decorated with green paint and glitter and we hung them on the Christmas tree in the hall with the recycled decorations the rest of the children in school had made.
We had Christmas dinner in Nursery. Some of our families came to join us and afterwards helped us with Christmas crafts
We had a disco with Reception and Key Stage 1 children. We had a fabulous time dancing and playing musical statues and musical bumps. When we got back to Nursery there was special visitor waiting for us! Then we had some tasty party food.
Wow! What a lovely, busy, fun Christmas we’ve had!
