This week we have made, painted and finally erupted our volcanoes!

The children loved watching the eruptions from the volcanoes and were excited to see each of theirs erupting!

We spoke about the change of the molten rock from magma to lava when it’s outside the volcano.

Did you know that lava is as hot as 1200c! We worked out that this is roughly six times hotter than our ovens at home!!

Long Mynd have had a fantastic time this half term learning about our Earth, its layers and volcanoes!
