Lockdown! What a funny thing,
As a parent you’re now doing home schooling!
Maths and Science, English and Art,
And that’s just the very start!

You also have a house to run,
Maybe go to work; there’s no time for fun!
You’re not just a parent but a teacher too,
That’s the way it is, but who’s helping you?

Whether you’re doing all the learning online,
Sharing a story, creating or talking; that’s fine.
Spend time together doing everyday stuff,
The learning will happen soon enough.

Please don’t worry if your children won’t sit;
Play some games, have some fun, but please don’t quit!
We just want to say that we think you should know,
You’re doing a fabulous job helping your children to grow!
