Friday 1st May Home Learning

Good morning Lawley!

I hope you are all well.  We are at the end of another week and Mrs Morgan and I are missing you more and more every day!  But we are all doing this to keep safe and well, and we are all in this together.

Phonics and Reading

Please complete your daily reading, then fill in a book review, I really enjoy seeing what books you have enjoyed and why.  I would also like you to participate in the daily Read Write Inc Phonics Set 3 session on YouTube.  Following this, please have a game of Make a Match on Phonics Play.

English Home Learning

I have been really impressed with the work that has been sent to me using suffixes.  I know this is tricky, but well done to everyone so far who has sent me your work.  Today I would like to add to our learning of using suffixes by watching a video clip on BBC Bitesize.  This explains again the meaning of using a suffix and how to do so.

Below the video clips there is a quiz, today’s activity is to complete this quiz.

I have set a suffix activity on Purple Mash.  There is also an activity below, remember this does not need printing out, you can write this down and complete the sentences on paper.

Maths Home Learning

Today it is challenge day.  Remember these are activities to get you thinking and really challenge what has been learnt.  Have a go and if you need help from a member of your household, ask away.

Cheeky Challenge: Listen to our counting to 50 forwards and backwards song, then independently write these numbers down – forwards and backwards!

Spellings

Today is our spelling test day, so please complete your spelling test.  Good luck and don’t forget to let me know your score.

ICT

Today I would like you to continue your work on coding.  I have set a To Do on Purple Mash which shows and then asks you to move the bubbles in different directions.  Remember, there is a video clip for each movement to show you and guide you through how to do each activity.

Have a good day and a great weekend.  Stay safe and well.
