Tuesday 9th June Home Learning

Good morning Lawley!

I hope you are all well. Here are our home learning activities for today.

Reading and phonics

Please complete your daily reading and a book review so I can see what you are enjoying about your book. Next, please take part in the Read Write Inc Set 3 Phonics Session on YouTube. After this please have a game of Picnic on Pluto on the Phonics Play website, revising all phase 3 sounds.

English Home Learning

I would like you to start our English session by watching the bubbles video again.  Whilst watching I would like you to think of adjectives to describe what you see, write these down as you think of them.

Our activity today is to imagine you are the girl on the bubbles.  You are going to write about your adventure, thinking about and answering the following questions:

  • Where would you like to travel on the bubble?
  • What will you see on your adventure?
  • Will you see anyone on your adventure?
  • Describe your adventure using adjectives.

In your writing remember to use:

  • capital letters
  • full stops
  • phonics
  • finger spaces
  • neat handwriting

Cheeky Challenge: Who would you like to share your bubble adventure with and why?

I have set an activity on Purple Mash based on Chapter 5 of Anna’s Sports Day.

Maths Home Learning

We are going to start our maths today with our counting in 5s song.  Please join in then write down the numbers up to 100 independently.

Cheeky Challenge: Fill in the missing numbers:

5, 10, ____, 20, ____, 30, 35, ____, ____, 50

RE Home Learning

Last week we looked at a range of special books and found out what they were.  Today we are going to look at Christian’s special book – The Bible.

We have heard many stories of the bible in Lawley and in our worships.

Why do you think The Bible is such a special book for Christians?

Please look at the PowerPoint below for more information on The Bible.

The Bible

Your task today is to write a set of rules which you believe would make the world a better place.

PE Home Learning

For our PE session today we are going to be moving to the beat.  Follow the instructions card and watch the video to show you what to do.

Have a great day Lawley, stay well and safe.
