Long Mynd – Shropshire Fire & Rescue talk

Every year, Holy Trinity welcome Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service to talk to the Year 3 children about fire safety at home. This year, due to Covid 19, the school were unable to welcome the team. However, were still able to complete the talk but lead by school staff.

The children took part in multiply choice questions, danger scenarios and how to keep safe at home.
The talk and PowerPoint informed the children about: smoke alarm safety, prevention of fires at home, when to call the fire service and what numbers and home exit plans.

The Fire and Rescue service advise you check your smoke alarm weekly and talk to your child about x2 safe exit plans (in case of a fire).
