Designing a potion bottle

Colour mixing for our potion bottles.

It has been lovely to see the children back in class after the half term break. We have started our new ‘Potions’ topic and the children are really enjoying our class text ‘ George’s Marvellous Medicine’. For our Stunning Start this week we created our own’. Potion’ in Science, mixing Bicarbonate of soda and Vinegar to produce Carbon Dioxide. The children then designed and painted their own potion bottles. The results were fantastic and will be added to our Roald Dahl themed reading area. In Maths, we have been focusing on addition and subtraction. In Writing, we have been looking at a range of instructions, identifying the features in preparation for writing our own instructions.
