Tuesday 12th January 2021. Literacy Home Learning for Clee Class and Earls Hill Reception.

For the next few weeks our Literacy work will be based on a book called ‘What We’ll Build’ by Oliver Jeffers.

Here is the story read by Miss Wright:

Now I would like you to look at the tools you drew yesterday; can you remember what they are and what they are used for?

Here is a picture from the story

What We'll Build by Oliver Jeffers | Waterstones

The little girl and the man have decided to build a door.

If you had a toolbox with tools what would you build? Why did you decide to build that? Ask the other people in your family what they would build.

Today I would like you to plan what you would build. You may decide to start by drawing a picture. Then you could list the materials and tools you would use to build it. If you have some tools and materials in your house you could even try to really build it!

Whatever you decide to do I would love it if you could take a photograph and send it to me on class Dojo or on our class email.

Please could you read a book from Bug Club and practise writing your name.
