In the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, Jack sold the cow for some magic beans. Today we are going to use magic beans for an experiment.

For the experiment you will need:

  • 1 packet of magic beans (Skittles sweets)
  • warm water
  • white plate

 

Activity

  • Arrange the magic beans (Skittles) in a single row  around the edge of the plate.

  • Pour warm water to cover the plate and reach the magic beans.

  • Watch and wait as a rainbow appears on the plate, the colours will move towards the middle and create a whirl of colour.
