Stiperstones Remembers

Stiperstones remembers 🌹

Last week Stiperstones studied ‘letters from The Trenches’ in their English lessons. We spoke about the horrors and awful conditions the soldiers faced during WW1 and how they used letters as their form of communication with loved ones back home.

On Thursday, the children wrote their own letters for The Trenches, they all wrote fantastic heartfelt letters, full of emotion and description.

At 11am, we joined the rest of the school on the playground for our 2 minutes silence. All children were very respectful and made me very proud.

Then on Friday afternoon, the children created some beautiful Remembrance artwork, using mixed media. They combined photography and oil pastels to create dramatic and very effective artwork.
