A busy week in Haughmond

We certainly have had a very busy week in Haughmond  this week.

The children have finally finished their unit of swimming lessons and we have really enjoyed  watching the children’s confidence develop through the weeks. We hope now – they will continue to go swimming outside of school and develop their skills and confidence more.

Well done to all the children who completed their 25m distance badges.

They finished off their lessons today with an enjoyable game of water polo.

Year 6 started their recounts this week and enjoyed “hot seating some of the main characters in our class novel this week.

We have also made a start on our designs on our pulley mechanisms, after researching and developing our prior knowledge.

Finally, we have learnt all about the importance of the Shepherds in our RE lessons and have been “digging deeper “ in finding out why God chose them to visit the baby. We have also found out about the  first Ancient Civilisation ~The Sumer Civilisation,
