Well done to Alissia, Michael, Skyla and Amneet for writing such thoughtful Manifestos.
Last week the children in Haughmond listened carefully to the manifestos written by some of the children hoping to be elected by their peers in Haughmond for School Council.
They were all so well written and very thoughtful as to what would make them such a good representative.
Each child then voted by writing their chosen candidate on a ballot voting slip and dropped it into out ballot box. This process is also part of our PSHE work in school – learning about democracy and how important it is for pupil voice and choice across our school. It is part of our British Values Curriculum.
The votes were counted and our winning candidates for School council this year are Michael and Skyla.
Congratulations to both children. I know that you are going to make fantastic representatives for our class and we all wish you success in your new role.
