I have set some Maths challenges for today!

Challenge 1, look carefully at the symbol so that you know what operation to use. Once you have solved the first question, use what you have found out to solve the next 2. I will post the answers later on today!

For challenge 2, it would be helpful if you had some coins to use. Don’t worry if you haven’t got coins, you could draw them.

First think carefully about how much money Tom has altogether- that is your ‘whole amount’. A bar model might help you. Remember to show the whole amount clearly.
