Also well done to Jake, Martin, Lewis and Rui who together made hundred of balloon animals and brought in their old toys to sell. They made up packets of cards and also made mystery to and sweet novelty bags.

The Fiver Challenge is back on this week! We have two teams up for the challenge tomorrow – Brownies Galore run by Nikolay, Geni and Leah and we also have The Balloon Boys run by Rui, Jake, Martin and Lewis. See details of the venture below and support them as much as you can !

Unfortunately due to the awful weather over the last week and the rain that is forecast for this week we have made the decision to CANCEL all sports days this week. The field is completely waterlogged and it will take a good few days for it to dry out. We have re-scheduled the dates as follows:
NURSERY: Wednesday 3rd July at 9.15am and 2.15pm
Monday 15th July for all other year groups as follows:
RECEPTION & KS1 at 9.15am
KS2 at 2.15pm
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause but as you know we have had 2 months of rain in 10 days. British weather at it’s best!
The girls would like to say thank you to everyone for bringing in their money today and buying some of their delicious cookies.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Langley for going with the girls to buy their ingredients and for letting them bake the cookies at her house.
Also we would like to thank Daniel’s mum for baking extra cookies to meet the extra demands.
The girls made £89.21 profit and were delighted with their success.
All school uniform this year will be available direct to your door or bought directly from the school shop in Shrewsbury.
Year 6 enjoyed a whole day at Crucial Crew in Nescliff training Camp: learning many different safety skills to prepare them for participation in society; for becoming responsible individuals.
It was very wet and cold, but the children had an enjoyable day.
Every year as a school we support two charities which are very special to us, they are:
Diabetes UK AND Alzheimer’s Society
This year we are supporting these two charities by having a non school uniform day and a bake sale.
On Friday 14th June the children can donate a £1 and come to school in their own clothes for the day. We will also be holding a bake sale at break time and lunch time for the children to purchase cakes and biscuits for a small donation.
In order for this event to raise lots of money we would like to ask for any donations of cakes, cookies, biscuits etc. We would appreciate all donations whether they are homemade or shop bought, every little helps us.
We hope that we can count on your support! Please send any donations into class with your child/ren or feel free to drop them off at the office.
Holly and Kizzy would like to say a huge thank you for all your support with their Milkshake Ma stall. We hope your children all enjoyed their milkshakes!The girls worked so hard making them and selling them through their break times. They made a huge £132.46 profit which is great start to their funding for the Year 6 Prom.

This week the children in Year 6 started the Fiver Challenge. They have formed groups and become mini entrepreneurs!
They are learning about the role money plays in their own and others’ lives (including how to manage their money) and about being a critical consumer. How resources can be allocated in different ways and how these economic choices affect individuals, communities and the sustainability of the environment. They are carrying out their own market research, working as a team, working on profit and spending budgets. They are also marketing and advertising their products and getting very creative with their ideas.
Year 6 are going to hopefully use their profits to fund their end of term School Prom.
We are going to sell a few different items each week and hope that Parents of Holy Trinity will support our cause.

What a brilliant day out we had at Lake Vyrnwy today. The sun shone and we were given the opportunity to paddle across the lake, past the dam, to the beach and back to the Boat House – where some of us chose to get very wet!
A big thank you for Mr Kenyon, Office staff, and Year 6 staff for organising the trip and also to the PTA and Mr Dickson
for helping to fund the trip.
