Year 6 have had fun making cakes today; in preparation for Macmillan day tomorrow.

Today, Year 6 baked cakes in order to sell them at tomorrow’s fund raising event –  Macmillan. Many cakes will be on sale at break time for the whole school to buy.

The children used their maths skills to weigh out their ingredients and worked independently using a recipe.

In the afternoon we decorated them ready for selling tomorrow.

We hope you can all join us for a cup of tea or coffee at 2.15 p.m tomorrow. Many cakes will be on sale; both large and small.

Children are invited to come to school in their own clothes and bring in a donation.

Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Year 6 Prom photos and many thanks.

♥Well, we really did have the time of our lives at our Year 6 Leavers Prom last week.        The girls looked so beautiful and the boys so handsome, All the teachers looked pretty amazing too.

I would like to take the opportunity of thanking our chefs – Jilly and Rachael, who made an incredible three course meal. The food looked amazing and all the children commented on how delicious it tasted.

Thank you to House of Party for decorating the whole school with hundreds of balloons, as well as the arch, the photo frame, the balloon drop and all the neon gifts and party bags to take away. The hall looked out of this world and the children could not believe their eyes.

Thank you to Dave Lee Trowell who provided us with the tunes we needed to dance the night away.

Finally – thanks to all the staff for serving the children drinks and their food throughout the evening and giving up their time to be with the children. Also to PTA and office staff for helping to set up the hall and tables. To Mrs Dallow for providing the beautiful flower arrangements and to Mr Dickson for pulling the whole idea together and for contacting the various people mentioned to give these children a truly wonderful experience that they certainly won’t forget.

The photos have taken a while to be processed onto jpeg. However, they can now be copied and used for your pleasure.
