EASTER RAFFLE: Our fantastic PTA team has put together some fabulous prizes for an Easter Raffle. The children will be bringing home a set of 5 tickets at £1 per ticket. If you would like to be in with a chance of winning some of the lovely prizes please send the ticket stubs and cash back to your childs teacher in an envelope to be entered into the drawer. We also have little Easter bracelets for sale at £1 each which can be purchased from the school office.
Today, Holy Trinity celebrated the start of British Science Week. Each class are participating in their own exciting growth activities.Clee started to talk about ideas and what growth meant to them today. I have seen some wonderful seed planting in Earls Hill and beans are growing in Wrekin Class. Caradoc are going to be looking at the tadpoles growing in Mrs Morgan’s pond via video and pictures. Longmynd will be investigating plants and their functions, whilst Ercall and Hawkstone are investigating the effect of sound on the growing of cress seeds. Stiperstones are looking at the size of planets and will be investigating the growth of crators. Finally, Haughmond will be investigating the growth of mould and bacteria and the growth of penguins in the Antarctic.

nt about how growth can be explored in so many different ways, as well as the definition of growth – Growth can mean the process of increasing in size or the progressive development of something.
Each class have been given their own sunflower seed and we will be having a school competition to see which class can grow the tallest sunflower.
The children will hopefully have come home with competition details today on designing their own posters on anything to do with growth. The posters will be judged at school and the there will be one winner awarded to each class with a prize and then the winners will be put forward to a national competition. Last week Holy Trinity’s School Council had the honour of meeting and putting their questions to the Mayor of Oswestry.
The children were excited to meet our town mayor and we discussed matters of democracy, town planning, local charities and of course his fabulous outfit.
The School Council meet the Mayor and were prepared with plenty of questions.
The Mayor then went to meet each individual class and answered more questions about his role.

We have been busy in the classrooms this week, thinking about messages of HOPE which is the golden thread to all our Christian Values at Holy Trinity.
We discussed messages of Hope and voted for one in each class. We will be writing our individual messages of hope and displaying them in our main hall in the New Year.
SchoolCouncil then collected the messages of hope that had been made into Christmas baubles and placed them around our beautiful Christmas tree.

We had a fantastic time this afternoon at the Christmas Fayre. The PTA did it again and worked so hard to give us some great stalls, fun, treats and prizes.

This morning, Miss Richards, Miss Robinson and myself were so proud of Haughmond who all took part in readings to answer some important questions that we had been interrogating (with the help of Rev Andrew) in our RE lessons. We found out about why Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem and found out where Bethlehem was and how long it would have taken to get there. We also found out about the significance of why the the shepherds were chosen to visit the baby first and the gifts that the three men brought to the new baby.
We could not go to church today because of the weather, but the service took place at school and all teachers were extremely proud.
We made Star Christmas hats this morning to wear at our fabulous Christmas dinner.
On Friday, we celebrated Children in Need Day and came into school in our non school uniform. We all contributed towards the charity and enjoyed our day. Thank you to parents for your support.
