our star of the week is Faith for her fantastic artwork and effort in handwriting. Well done Faith 🌟 well done to Demi, who has moved up to the next wave in swimming – congratulations! 🌊 and a big congratulations to Elsie who won a medal for her gymnastics! She’s been showing off her new moves in PE and it’s clear to see how much  hard work she’s put in 🤸

A big thank you to all who donated a £1 to the NSPCC today. Your support is greatly appreciated 😊

Next week we will be learning about prayer mats in RE, creating a poster on Oswestry in Geography and beginning our independent write in English✅

Homework 11th November

Homework this week is to practice timestables on ‘sound check’ mode. Practising timestables on this mode will help to prepare children for the multiplication check later in the year. It is a key check in Year 4 which tests children on their recall of timestables. Each question has 6 seconds before moving onto the next one. Please see the steps below on how to log on:

1. Follow the link: https://play.ttrockstars.com/auth/school/student/7446

2. Use log in details from reading diary to log in.

3. Select single player

4. Go on ‘sound check’ and complete at least one try,

if you are unable to access this due to internet or any difficulty, please ensure children are in school at 8.30 where they can complete this before lessons. If you have any trouble with this, please feel free to dojo me so we can work out a time this can be done 😊

Homework 04.11.22

Homework this week has been to complete a times tables sheet which has been stuck in the homework book. This is related to the times tables the children are currently learning in order to improve their knowledge and recall speed.

The last week of Autumn 1

This week we finished our place value unit in maths, learnt how craters are made in science and evaluated our artwork among many other end of term activities! 📚

As we finished on a Thursday, we don’t have a star of the week but all the children have worked extra hard this term and deserve a big well done! ⭐️

Homework over the half term is to create a poster on sustainability in space, for our space day when we return in the new half term. Please see the post by Mrs. Platt for more details. Please feel free to create your own poster, but if you need any paper I did print a template off and give one to the children . posters will then be judged by school council and a winner will be selected for a small prize 🛰

Our PE days when we return are Tuesday and Wednesday again 😊 if you are taking part in bikeability, please remember to bring your bike on Monday 31st October (the first Monday back).

I hope everyone has a lovely half term!
