A week in Ercall

This week in Ercall we’ve finished our assessments, learnt some new mindfulness  poses in PE and found out our results from our science experiment 😊

This week’s star of the week is Victor who has worked really hard on his handwriting. Well done Viktor 🌟

Next week we have our Siam’s assessment, learn about whales in different seasons for English and find our about early civilisations use of money in History.

Homework this week is a times table sheet, which is tested on Wednesday.

Our week in Ercall

What a lovely week we had last week, we went to Liverpool on our school trip, started a science experiment and began an athletics unit with Neil in PE 😊

This week we will be concluding our science experiment in the effects of sugar drinks on our teeth, completing some assessments and learning about writing systems in history.

Homework was a timestable sheet and spellings have also been given out.

our star of the week was not in, so will be celebrated this week.

we also have world book day on Thursday. Children are welcome to come to school dressed as their favourite character, we are asking a donation of £1 to help support buying some new resources for our reading for pleasure.

This week we’ve started a new unit in English, began to learn some mindfulness poses and learnt about data in computing.

Our star of the week is Matthew. Matthew has worked really hard on our fraction unit and impressed us all. Well done Mathew ⭐️

next week we have our Liverpool trip, some athletics with Neil and will be learning about levers and linkages in DT.

The end of Spring 1

Our last week in spring 1 has been a fun one, visiting the library, charcoaling the jabberwocky illustration and ending our independent write!

our value champion was Luna whose aspirational and go-getter attitude inspires all those in class. Well done Lune ✨

Noah was our star of the week from last week, for his dedication to improving his handwriting. Well done Noah ⭐️

Homework includes spellings, TTRockstars and a times table sheet.

We return to school on 19th February and I hope everyone has a lovely half term!

Our week in Ercall

last  week we  used jelly beans in maths, we learnt the rules of dodgeball in PE and learnt how to copy and paste in computing!

our star of the week was absent so will be celebrated this week.

This week we will learn about Hawaii in Geography, name family members in French and finish our length unit in maths.

This Tuesday we have the valentines disco 4.30 – 5.30pm. Tickets are £3.50 and include a drink and snack.

Our week in Ercall

This week in Ercall we’ve tested how distance affects sound in science, learnt how to to dodge in dodgeball and completed from fraction work  in maths  😊

Our star of the week is Harry, who has settled in really well after Christmas break and been impressing us all with his wonderful attitude and work. Well done Harry 🌟

Homework this week is a times table sheet and we will now be testing times tables on a Thursday instead of Friday.

Next week we will be illustrating the jabberwocky in art, creating speech sandwiches in English and learning about tectonic plates in Geography.

Our first week back has been a busy one! We’ve made panpipes in Science, drawn a setting in art and started our new book in English!

Our homework is a timestable sheet and new spellings have also been given.
Clubs will be starting next week too.

Next week we will be looking at Islamic prayer positions, investigating inside of Volcanoes and experimenting with sound and distance.

Our star of the week was Nick, who has increased his average soundcheck score to 25! Well done Nick 🌟

We were also able to award Gwen her certificate and pin as our value champion for last term. Well done Gwen 💫

The end of Autumn 2!

It’s been a short but busy week in Ercall! We’ve had a Christmas party, met Father Christmas and made Menorah’s in RE!

As a little Christmas treat and big well done for working so hard, the children have had a small Christmas gift of Mrs Rowley and myself to take home. They have also brought home a calendar for the new year and Christmas card too 😊

Homework is to ensure timestable sheets are complete, reading is recorded and TTROCKSTARS is practised too.

I hope everyone has a lovely and relaxing break! Have a  very merry Christmas and new year.

Another festive week in Ercall

This week we’ve been busy finishing our independent write, watching the pantomine and checking our reading progress! 😀

Our values champion was absent today, so will receive thier award the first week back.

Homework this week is to focus on reading and timestabes. Hopefully we will all be able to complete a book test and receive a fresh book for reading over the holidays (unless the book is very long!)

Next week we have a class party on Monday (come to school in uniform with party clothes to change into) and will be making our calendars and cards!
