The Prideful Ant – A Story about Pride and Humility
Philippians 2:3-4, Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Please join us with a prayer focusing on humility:

What a fantastic day had by all for our fantastic finish Greek Day. We danced the morning away with the Zorba, tasted Greek food, made a Greek salad and Moussaka, pressed and made wine (grape juice). For the afternoon session, we focused on the Greek artist Douris and decorated Greek pots with a meander and Zeus prints with paint.
We have had the most amazing day today in Caradoc. The children all looked fantastic, I would like to thank all the parents and carers for all of your support in helping to make this day such success.
We tasted some traditional Greek foods including olives, flatbread and feta. The children made a tasty Greek salad to take home. The children also prepared a traditional Greek casserole using courgettes, aubergine and fresh herbs, it smelled fantastic. I can’t wait to hear what parents and carers thought of the sample we sent home. To drink we crushed grapes to make grape juice (not with our feet!).
Finally the children tool part in a Greek dancing activity and printed designs for a Greek style vase. Here are just a few photographs from our day. We would love it if you could tell us what you thought of the food the children brought home!
Wow, what an incredible day! It has been fantastic to see the effort children have gone to with their costumes, and how much they have enjoyed the day. Thank you parents and carers for your ongoing support.
We have also recorded a news report based on an imaginary attack on Whittington Castle:
Hercules and the 13th Labour- the battle to freedom!
Our English topic was to write a Greek myth- over the last 4 weeks we have looked at a selection of myths, broke down a plan and focused on each step. What a wonderful way to end the unit is by sharing our very own story. I am super proud of all the work the children have produced. We will be reading and filming our very own stories this week.
