Remembrance in Wrekin

In Wrekin class this week we have been writing acrostic poems about Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies. We have been learning about World War 1 in particular and the different coloured poppies.

We have made window poppies and painted our own fields of poppies based on the work of Luiza Vizoli. We thought about the different shapes of the poppies and how we could blend colours.

We have also celebrated Inter-Faith Week by looking at how soldiers from different countries and with different religions fought together.

Finally, we have had some amazing work completed at home which children have brought in.

We have been amazed with the incredible work the children have done this week, well done Wrekin!

The aim of this meeting is to explain how we teach phonics and reading, along with information on how you can support your child at home.

The meetings will be at 2pm and 5pm.  Please choose the best time for you and log on via zoom by using one of the links below:

Thank you and I look forward to meeting many of you on Monday via Zoom.
