Monday – Choose one of the places the snail and whale visited. Draw a picture of the place and write some words to describe the place around the picture.

Tuesday – The whale gets stuck on a beach and the children help rescue it. Can you write a letter to the children saying thank you from the whale?

Wednesday – The snail and the whale travel across the ocean. Here is a link to a programme about the ocean on BBC iplayer ….

Thursday – Imagine you are the snail. Choose one of the places you have visited in the story. What would you pack in your bag to take with you? Would you take different items to a hot place and a cold place? Why? Talk about this with your grown up.

Friday – Who would you take with you if you were going on an adventure on the back on the whale? Why? Write the sentence ‘I would take……’ Draw a picture of both of you on your adventure.
