This week’s work is all about the story ‘Room on the Broom’

Monday – Can you design and draw a new and improved broom for the witch? Talk about how you have made it better.

Tuesday – Create a potion for the witch. If you can, go outside and collect natural ingredients for your potion (leaves, soil, stones, flowers). Or you could ask if your grown up if you can use some ingredients from the kitchen. Perhaps you could take some bottles and containers into the bath and mix up a magic water potion – can you add bubbles/food colouring?

Wednesday – Can you make up a magic spell for the witch? Can you use rhyming words? Here is an example…”Add some slime and some and some goo, mix together and count 1, 2!”

Thursday – There is a terrible beast at the end of the story – but was it really a terrible beast? Who was it really? Talk about this with your grown up.

Friday – Write about where you think the witch and her friends should go on the broom for their next adventure. Draw a picture to show me what this place looks like.
