This week our maths learning will be based on Jack and the Beanstalk as is our literacy.
Here are some number songs to get us started today:

There is a link at the bottom of this page for the children who have been learning about recognising, counting and representing smaller numbers.
Now I would like you to make a beanstalk like the one in the Jack and the Beanstalk story. Here are some ideas of how to make one:
When you have made your beanstalk I would like you to make some leaves and write numbers on them starting at zero. You can write numbers as high as you want to. When you have done that I would like you to put the numbered leaves in order going up your beanstalk.
I hope you had enough room on your beanstalk for all those leaves! What was the highest number on your beanstalk? Can you pretend one of your toys is Jack or the giant climbing the beanstalk? Say the number names as they climb.
