Space Week in Clee

We thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Space Week. We explored the concept of space in different learning areas throughout the week. Thanks to all the children and their parents who completed the homework challenge. We had an amazing selection of space art and poetry.

We used our phonic knowledge to write graphemes, our names and CVC words in the glitter trays.

We read the story ‘Whatever Next’. To consolidate our learning, we used space playdough mats, dressed up as astronauts, and explored a space themed small world tough spot.

We really enjoyed our adventure into space using the inflatable planetarium. We also had our own space environment to explore in the classroom; the dark sensory tent and light changing ‘planets’.

In PSHE we used the story ‘Laura’s Star’ to explore the concept of friendship, and what makes a good friend. We created our own ‘Laura’s Star’.
