Good morning Reception children and families!

 

Here is the ‘Lost and Found’ story by Oliver Jeffers for you to listen to:

 

As you have now listened to the story many times I think you will be able to retell the story yourself to your grown up. To help you to tell the story you could make a puppet theatre (or use one that you have already made) and some props. Have a think about the story and what you will need to help you to tell it. You need to think of the characters, where they go and what they use. You can find objects to use around your house and in your toys or I have put the link to some puppets if you would like to make those instead. If you can’t find the objects that you need and you can’t print out the puppets you can make your own puppets.

In the story one of the main characters is the penguin. Penguin starts with ‘p’. Is there anything else that you can find in the story that starts with ‘p’? Can you think of anything else that starts with ‘p’? Write down all the words you can think of.
