Home Learning – 23rd June

Good Morning!

I received some incredible work yesterday! I gave out so many points. I hope to give out loads more today! Keep it up! I’m so impressed.

English

Oh no! Some Aliens have got hold of the story of Hansel and Gretel and they have littered the story with silly words and alien words! I need help find them all! Can you to have a go at correcting the story of Hansel and Gretel?

Year 1, I would like you to have a go at reading the words yourself (with support wherever needed) and try and find the mistakes. When you find the mistakes, write down the correct word.

Reception, I would like the story to be read to you but for you to listen carefully and follow the words with your finger. When you hear a mistake, have a go at spelling the word correctly (it doesn’t have to be perfect, just phonetically plausible).

Here is the story: Hansel and Petel

Reception:

Today I would like you to play a game. It’s called “add or double”. You need two normal dice and a partner (adult or sibling would be perfect) to play. Take turns rolling the dice with your adult/sibling. If you roll and it’s a double (e.g 2 and 2), you score a point! If it’s not a double, it’s an add and you must add up the dots by counting on . The winner is the first to reach 5 points!

Extra Activities

Today I would like you to create tiny food for a pretend fairy woodland party. You can use real food or you can pretend and use playdough. Here are some lovely examples:
