Today I would like you to imagine that you are on this new island with Zog! Can you send me a postcard? I need you to tell me all about the island and how you got there. Have you had a great time there? What fun things have you been doing? Have you seen anymore of those exciting animals?

Postcards usually have a picture on one side and writing on the other, so please draw me a fantastic picture of the island or you at the island. Here is a template: PostCard

I’m not setting Reception a Math’s Challenge today because you have worked so hard this week!

Year 1 (has also worked really hard) so there isn’t a lesson to complete today. It is a set of challenge questions. These are for years 1 + 2 so some of them are too hard for Year 1 so please don’t attempt these ones. Just do what you can! Family-Challenge-Friday-1st

Instead of a Math’s challenge, I have a science challenge! Sir Gadabout has lost his amour! He needs to build a new set but he has no idea how to! Here he is: 

Do you think that is a good idea? Can you test some materials for SIr Gadabout? What does amour need to be? Will would be better? Why not? Think of a good way to test the materials. Don’t forget it has to be a fair test. Here is a good video explaining what a fair test is.

Once you’ve tested a few materials to see how strong they are, I would like you to design him some new amour. Make sure your design has labels so that Sir Gadabout can make it using the best materials!
