Home Learning – Thursday 25th June

Good Morning!

Another scorcher today! Try not to be outside during the hottest hours. It’s going to be up to 31 today! Lots of sun cream and water!

English

Today we are continuing our exciting adventure! In class, I find that it helps to have exciting music in the background to get those creative juices flowing so here is that same video from yesterday so you can have it on in the background if you wanted:

Today your mysterious character is going to set you an exciting quest! Your quest is to go and find a magical object that will help them complete a task! Now it’s up to you what the object is, where to find it and why they need it!

Write a few sentences about the character asking you to go on the quest. Are you going to go? How do you feel about that? Will your character come with you? Or help you? Or give you something in return?

The story is really open and can be taken in any direction that they fancy! Just a few sentences in their neatest writing!

Reception:

Today I would like you to have a go at writing out the double number sentences. In school we use butterflies or ladybirds to show that they have to be the same on both sides. Here is a lovely template that you can use if you like or you can make your own.

The children need to draw matching dots on the wings and write the corresponding number sentence underneath.

Extra Activity:

I’d love for you to draw a magical map for your quest! You can start the map where you have met this character and then draw a pathway to wherever you may be going! Include any obstacles or land features that you might encounter on your way!

Have an amazing day and remember to try your hardest for those Dojo points!
