Our week in Hawkstone Class

Well done to sky who is our star of the week ⭐️

She has shown fantastic perseverance in all areas of the curriculum and the work she has produced she should be super proud of.

we have had a very busy week we’re we have learnt lots of new skills. In pe who have been learning how to avoid being hit by a ball, how to successfully doge a ball.

We also learnt how to successfully teddy bear roll and complete a sequence with a partner.

In art, we had to compose a scene with a story and then draw it. The children were very creative:

*God created the world

* Dinosuars in space

* Animals in Japan

Science this week was all about volume, we tested how far we could hear a sound and if sounds get fainter the further away we move from the sound source.

This week in comprehension we completed an author study of Jeff Kinney, the author and illustrator of Diary of a wimpy kid. The children explored a number of books and read extracts from each text.

We’ve had such a busy week and the children had enjoyed the variety that the curriculum offers. Well done all.
