Today in Lawley Class, we had lots of fun planning an experiment to test some everyday materials. Our goal was to waterproof some small teddies using things that we could find around the house. We decided between ourselves which materials would be best: tinfoil, cling film and plastic bags. We did not agree on every point; some of us believed that using absorbent materials like towels and paper napkins would be good, whilst some believed they would still let water in. After this, we tested our theories! This was messy and fun. We found out that our tests we not completely fair as some of our protective layers had holes in and so let lots of water in. We also realised that it depended on how we wrapped our teddies. All in all, our teddies mainly all got a bit of a dunk!
