Tenths as Decimals

In our 5th lesson on Fractions we will look at tenths as decimals. This means showing a fraction in a different way. 

A decimal is another way of writing part of a whole number.

so, if you had 3/10, you could write this as 0.3 as a decimal.

7/10 would be 0.7

Look at this picture below to see what each tenth is worth as a decimal.
