Lawley’s week

Welcome back to everyone, we hope you’ve had a fantastic Easter break.  Our new topic for the summer term is Best of British, and we have lots of exciting things ahead of us this term.

This week in Lawley we have started our multiplication and division unit in Maths, looking at counting in tens, making equal groups and adding equal groups.  In English, we have looked at our new book, The Queen’s Orang-Utan, where children have been changing the main character, the setting or the problem in preparation for writing their own narratives.  In Science, we have started looking at seasonal changes, identifying the differences between winter and spring.  Whilst in PSHE, we have been discussing anti bullying, looking at how we can be a kind friend and help those around us.  I hope you’re enjoying the extended weekend.

We went for a walk down to Early Years to look at the fantastic art work in the corridors of Middleton Farm.  We have had Attendence Ted, so he came with us, and also enjoyed some birthday cake!
